A fourth arrest warrant has been issued after an attempted home invasion and shooting broke out in Deltona late last year, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.

In a release, deputies said the gang-related incident sprung up back in November, when four residents at a home along Wainwright Street woke up to the sound of gunshots around 4 a.m.

“A check of their surveillance camera showed 4 masked and hooded suspects had just tried to break in,” the release reads. “A total of 25 bullet strikes were found on the garage or inside the home.”

According to detectives, six rounds penetrated the front window, and four of those rounds continued through an inside bedroom wall, entering the bedroom where an 11-year-old was sleeping.

Deputies later reported they were able to catch three of the suspects involved, identified as follows:

• James Cropper, 19

• Jamar Battle, 19

• Edrice Brantley, 15

“VSO crime scene units also located additional fingerprint evidence in their stolen getaway car after it was identified on (license-plate reader) technology, tracked down, and recovered in Orlando,” the release continues.

Further evidence helped detectives identify the final suspect as Miguel Nunez Albrincole, 33, whose last known address was at the 19 South Apartments in Kissimmee, the VSO revealed. He is originally from the Dominican Republic, though deputies said his current whereabouts are unknown.

Albrincole is now wanted on charges of shooting into an occupied home, attempted armed burglary of an occupied home, and armed burglary of a vehicle.
