Rain chances are on the decline for the upcoming work week thanks to a building ridge of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere and drier air from the north.

Monday

Our sea breeze will have less juice to work with thanks to our building upper level ridge putting a cap on its development. The first half of our Monday will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds. This will allow temperatures to reach the low 90s by early afternoon. A few isolated showers will begin developing around noon as the sea breeze begins to develop. Scattered storms will move into the I-4 corridor area by mid-afternoon. Coverage will be more scattered as rain chances will be down to 40%. These storms will gradually move towards the I-75 corridor by the end of the afternoon and into the evening commute home. Rain will begin to fade after 7pm.

Week Ahead

Rain chances continue to decline by mid-week as a batch of drier air pushes into Central Florida thanks to an area of high pressure over the Southeast. At the same time, a developing mid-level low pressure over the Bahamas will create a tight pressure gradient over Central Florida. This will increase wind speeds for the middle part of the week. Gusts will range 20-25mph out of the northeast.
