Leslie Iwerks and her team just finished filming part of The Imagineering Story season 2 at Tokyo Disney Resort. It will premiere in 2028.

The Imagineering Story Films at Tokyo Disneyland

Iwerks posted on Instagram, “And that’s a wrap here at Tokyo Disneyland filming with our local crew and capturing some awesome behind the scenes secrets!”

The Imagineering Story season 2 will premiere in early 2028, nine years after the first season was released in 2019. Iwerks directs.

The first season chronicled decades of Disney history. The second season will follow Imagineers as they create new projects.

Iwerks’ documentary Disney Worldbuilders about Disney Parks premiered earlier this year following her documentary about the creation of Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Handcrafted.
