Central Florida remains in a summerlike setup with plenty of moisture, daily showers, and thunderstorms continuing through the weekend.

A weak frontal boundary near the area will lift north today as high pressure begins to build back toward the coast. That will allow the east coast sea breeze to develop early and push well inland, setting up another round of afternoon storms.

WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY

A few showers and isolated storms are possible through the morning, especially along the coast.

Storm coverage increases this afternoon, with rain chances around 40% to 60% today, highest across the interior. Thursday will be even wetter, with 50% to 70% storm chances area-wide.

The biggest concern remains locally heavy rainfall. Storms could drop 1 to 3 inches of rain in a short time, especially across the interior today.

Temperatures stay close to normal, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. Heat indices will reach the upper 90s to around 100 degrees before storms develop.

FRIDAY-WEEKEND

Rain chances remain high Friday through Sunday, ranging from 60% to 80% each day as deep tropical moisture stays in place.

Daily sea breezes will help trigger afternoon storms, with some activity potentially shifting back toward the coast during the late afternoon and evening.

Temperatures stay seasonable through the weekend and into next week, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and lows in the 70s.
