The trolley-shaped caricature kiosk inspired by the old Pacific Electric Railway of Los Angeles is back on Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It was absent for refurbishment for much of the summer.
Red Car Trolley Returns

The Red Car Trolley left the park back in June 2026 so it could be refurbished, and the caricature artists temporarily moved to Echo Lake while it was out of service.
During our visit on October 29, the caricature kiosk was still closed despite its reappearance. We are unsure when the artists will move back to their normal location here, but we imagine it will be very soon given the return of the kiosk itself.

This kiosk is a small-scale version of a red trolley car and was once used as a merchandise stand called Trolley Gifts starting back in 1994 when Sunset Boulevard opened. The 694 on the front is a nod to when it opened in June of that year.
It can be found on Sunset Boulevard, just a short walk from The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and several adjacent quick service dining venues.
Over at Disney California Adventure, Disneyland’s proper, transit-ready version of the Red Car Trolley opened in 2012 as part of the $1 billion reimagining of Disney California Adventure. It used to ferry guests between Buena Vista Street and Sunset Boulevard with stops in between. Unfortunately, that trolley’s last day of operation came on February 8, 2025.
