Deep moisture combined with a developing mid-level low are the perfect team to keep consistent rainfall over Central Florida through Sunday evening.

Tonight

The shield of rainfall that has been hovering over Central Florida since mid-Sunday afternoon will persist through the overnight hours and into Monday morning. Localized areas of flooding in low-lying areas are possible as some areas, especially just north of the Orlando Metro, have already received 3-4″ of rainfall today. Lows will hovering around 70°F.

Monday

Our moisture and instability lingers into our Monday, keeping rain chances high for the start of the week. Monday’s high rain chance will favor the first half of the day. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms through the morning commute and gradually break up and fade by mid-morning. As the afternoon rolls on, the rain chance will become more scattered in nature. Highs will hit the upper 70s to low 80s.

Mid-Week

A trough in the upper levels of the atmosphere will help to bring a cold front towards Central Florida late Thursday into Friday. By the time it reaches us it will have lost a lot of its punch. However, it will help to drag in a drier air mass for EDC weekend.
