Deeper moisture returns to Central Florida courtesy of the remnants of what was once Hurricane Vance all the way in the Pacific. This moisture, combined with a developing mid-level low, will help to increase rain chances across the area.
Sunday
Rain chances will favor the second half of Sunday and into the evening. Any errands or outdoor plans should be planned for the first half of the day as we will be mostly dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Rain chances will increase from south to north pushing past lunchtime. Scattered storms begin pushing in around 3pm and continue to fan out and lift northward late-afternoon and into the evening as well. Highs will hold steady in the upper 70s to low 80s.
Monday
Our moisture and instability lingers into our Monday, keeping rain chances high for the start of the week. Monday’s high rain chance will favor the first half of the day. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms through the morning commute and even into lunchtime. As the afternoon rolls on, the rain chance will slowly start to diminish. High temperatures will hit the low 80s.
Mid-Week
A trough in the upper levels of the atmosphere will help to bring a cold front towards Central Florida late Thursday into Friday. By the time it reaches us it will have lost a lot of its punch. However, it will help to drag in a drier air mass for EDC weekend.
