Port Canaveral leaders are heading into the final stretch of a busy travel year with several major projects on the agenda.
The Canaveral Port Authority Board of Commissioners will receive a financial briefing Wednesday on the port’s operating revenues for the 2026 fiscal year. According to the port’s chief financial officer, cruise revenue reached $210 million — about $10 million above projections.
The board is also being asked to approve a significant increase to the purchase order for the Cruise Terminal 10 rehabilitation project. The proposed $2.7 million addition is more than six times the original contract of $408,593.
The construction firm leading the project cited the complexity of upgrading an active terminal, coordinating improvements, and maintaining an aggressive project schedule as reasons for the added costs.
Port leaders will also receive an update on a new commercial fishing facility planned for Mullet Road. The $2.9 million project will include an office building, large pavilion, fish-cleaning station and 16 storage units.
Two of the port’s marinas are also on the agenda. Bluepoints Marina is scheduled to close by the end of 2028 to make way for the planned development of Cruise Terminal 4.
Nearby Cape Marina is expected to handle the increase in demand as it is redeveloped into a full-service facility. To manage the transition, the port is seeking an agreement with a management company to minimize disruptions during the wind-down and redevelopment process.
Wednesday’s meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. at 445 Challenger Road, Cape Canaveral.
