A Make-A-Wish kid’s dream to help transform Magic Kingdom from Halloween to Christmas recently came true. Her story and photos were shared today by Disney.
Meet Wednesday, Make-A-Wish Kid

For six-year-old Make-A-Wish kid, Wednesday, and her family, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is more than just a favorite movie; it’s a cherished part of their family holiday traditions.
After facing a difficult medical journey and uncertainty, Wednesday wished to help transition Walt Disney World from Halloween to Christmas. With the help of Jack and Sally, Disney invited Wednesday and her sisters to do just that.

Wednesday and her sisters joined Jack and Sally at Magic Kingdom to help transform their meet-and-greet location from Halloween Town to Christmas Town for the holiday season. When asked whether she likes celebrating Halloween or Christmas more, Wednesday enthusiastically exclaimed, “Christmas!”
Before decorating, the girls warmed up by playing a couple of rounds of “Hide and Go Shriek,” led by Jack. Wednesday and her sisters soon noticed that Jack’s ghost dog, Zero, was missing, which led the whole family into a scavenger hunt for him. The girls also showed off their dancing skills and sang their favorite songs from the film, and Wednesday was given the opportunity to change into a Jack Skellington-inspired costume.

After playing, Jack and Sally presented Wednesday with a unique snowflake ornament created just for her, fashioned after the first snowflake Jack discovers after tumbling down into Christmas Town. A matching ornament was waiting in a wrapped present under the tree for Wednesday to take home.
Wednesday helped find the perfect spot for the snowflake ornament on the tree, officially becoming part of Halloween Town’s holiday transformation at Walt Disney World.

Wednesday’s mom, Kelly, remarked that, “If we do ever have bad times again, I always think about the better times. But this is one memory that will always stick out. It’s the beginning of the rest of our lives.”
Disney and Make-A-Wish have had a longstanding collaboration, with Disney being the world’s largest wish granter. A Disney wish is granted every hour of every day. Disney-owned properties like Aulani Resort even host entire Wish Weeks for Make-A-Wish kids and their families.
During last year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, guests could meet Jack and Sally in the Town Square Theater on Main Street, U.S.A.
