Former Disney CEO Bob Chapek’s sob story isn’t resonating with fans as his memoir hasn’t even sold 2,500 copies in its first week.

According to Circana BookScan’s data, Behind the Castle Walls: My Thirty Years at the Happiest Place on Earth only sold 2,400 copies in its first week.
That means it didn’t break into the top 10 of the New York Times Best Seller list for Nonfiction. It was #14 on the Hardcover Nonfiction list and #15 on the Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction list.
This is despite Chapek’s extensive media tour. He said Disney is trying to “erase” him and took credit for Josh D’Amaro’s rise to CEO. He wrote the memoir to “get the truth out there” and though he is blaming Iger for his problems, he also said he doesn’t have beef with the former CEO.
