A Central Florida father found his son dead inside a concrete mixer, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

In an incident report, a deputy said a call came in around 12:38 p.m. on Tuesday about the incident at a construction site near Chantal Lane and Hickman Drive.

Deputies say the concrete truck hadn’t been working and was under repair. However, a man at the scene found his son stuck face-down in the truck where the concrete mixes, the report notes.

“(The father) was able to get his son out of the mixer and dragged his son to the grass nearby,” the report reads. “At this time, law enforcement was notified and arrived shortly after.”

First responders determined that the son had died, with deep lacerations found at the top of his head, the deputy said. However, investigators believe it was not a homicide.

No additional information has been provided at this time, including the identities of those involved or how the son became stuck in the mixer in the first place.
