A driver was arrested after he was accused of pulling a handgun on a Disney bus earlier this week, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

In an arrest affidavit, deputies said they received a call about the incident on Monday around 9 p.m.

Investigators said they learned a driver in a white Jeep had pointed a gun at a Disney bus on East Buena Vista Drive near Bonnet Creek Parkway. The 911 caller alleged the Jeep then went to the Port Orleans resort.

Upon arrival at the resort, deputies said they found a white Jeep at the lobby, though it appeared to be empty.

However, a man — identified as 25-year-old David Charlot — approached a deputy and explained he was “just delivering food with Doordash with the Jeep,” the affidavit states.

“Chalot told me in an initial verbal statement that he did indeed have a handgun in his car, but never pointed it at anyone or interacted with anyone,” the affidavit reads. “He was just delivering food.”

But a witness told deputies a different story, claiming that the Jeep had been at a green light with a Disney bus behind it. When the Jeep didn’t move, the bus reportedly honked its horn and moved closer to the Jeep.

“The driver of the Jeep, a black male, got out and approached the bus,” the affidavit continues. “He then went back to the Jeep, reached into the center console of the Jeep, pulled out a black semi-automatic pistol, and pointed it directly at the Disney bus driver.”

Deputies also said they checked video from the bus’ camera, which showed Charlot pointing a black handgun at the bus driver before leaving the area.

As a result, Charlot was arrested and now faces a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm. He is held on bond of $10,000.
