The body of 53-year-old Jason Doyle was recovered after an extensive search that started Sunday, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies said Doyle went underwater while boogie boarding near A1A and Cove Road in Melbourne Beach Sunday and never resurfaced.

Video shows the scene as multiple different agencies responded, including the sheriff’s office and Brevard County Fire Rescue.

A helicopter was seen flying overhead, as other first responders were seen on shore with binoculars trying to locate the man in the water.

The search came as rough surf and dangerous rip currents continued along Florida’s Atlantic Coast.
