An early morning crash led to a wild scene and eventual DUI arrest on a Central Florida roadway Sunday, according to a report from state troopers.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Aden Martinez was drunk when he ran into a guardrail in his Ford F-150 on State Road 417 in Orlando around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

That crash, according to troopers, led to a chain reaction and multiple others.

Troopers say a bystander told them Martinez had been involved in a physical altercation. As they went to investigate, they saw a man force Martinez to the ground. The man told troopers he was Martinez’s father and was holding him down because Martinez was “behaving irrational[ly], yelling, appeared intoxicated by alcohol and was uncontrollable,” according to the report.

That’s when, troopers say, they placed Martinez in handcuffs and put him in the back of a patrol car. Troopers say Martinez got physical as he tried to stop himself from being placed inside the car, but was eventually secured.

Troopers say they asked Martinez what happened, and he told them he lost control of the truck because of the wet roadway, though troopers say, they noticed signs of intoxication during the conversation.

Troopers say Martinez was read his Miranda Rights, but refused to continue talking with them, and he was placed under arrest due to the signs of intoxication.

Troopers say when Martinez was tested, he blew a .205 BAC and .201 BAC, was transported to the hospital to make sure he was okay, then was sent to the Orange County Jail.

Martinez is facing a charge of DUI with property damage or personal injury, and is being held on a $1,000 bond.
