The American Customer Satisfaction Index has released its latest report detailing which convenience stores are leaving consumers the most satisfied.

And while fan favorites like Buc-ee’s and Wawa placed high on the list, they didn’t manage to take No. 1 this time around.

According to the study, researchers used thousands of customer surveys between October 2025 and September 2026 to determine the ranking, using factors like customer expectations and perception of quality.

During the last report, Kwik Trip dominated as the convenience store with the highest customer satisfaction score, with Sheetz and Wawa coming in close behind.

Midwestern supercenter chain Meijer — based in Michigan — took the convenience store crown at No. 1 in customer satisfaction, coming up five spots from last year’s placement.

“Meijer Express connects fuel and convenience purchases to the retailer’s broader mPerks loyalty program, allowing customers to earn and redeem rewards across groceries, merchandise, and fuel,” the study says. “Quick ID simplifies earning points at the pump. Continued price investment and new store openings support the brand’s upward movement.”
