Two young children suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a fire broke out inside a St. Cloud home Saturday morning, according to St. Cloud Fire Rescue.
Firefighters and St. Cloud police responded just after 9 a.m. to a home on Seneca Trail, where crews found active flames in the main living area.
Osceola County Fire Rescue also assisted at the scene.
Officials said the fire was likely caused by children playing with a lighter.
Crews made sure everyone was out of the home and quickly knocked down the flames, St. Cloud Fire Rescue said.
An infant who was inside the home was taken to Nemours for further care.
The Department of Children and Families and the American Red Cross were contacted to assist following the fire.
St. Cloud Fire Rescue, the State Fire Marshal’s Office and St. Cloud police are investigating the incident.
