Saturday

The sea breeze will one again be the predominate driving factor of our forecast for Saturday, with an added ingredient of elevated moisture levels, coverage will be higher than a “typical” sea breeze pattern. Our Saturday will start off on the dry side with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will quickly soar into the 90s with heat indices around 100ºF. The east and west coast sea breezes will begin to develop some showers and storms around the 95 and 75 corridors right around noon. These two sea breezes will continue to knife inland as the afternoon rolls on. They will collide around and just west of I-4 around 3-4pm. We will see a blow up of storms around the Orlando metro and I-4 corridor for the second half of the afternoon. With extremely light steering flow, these storms will be slow movers, leading to some localized flooding in low-lying spots. These storms will dance around Central Florida before fading away around 8-9pm.

Sunday

By Sunday, a ridge of high pressure will be centering over Florida, allowing for our atmosphere to stabilize a little more. This will help to curb sea breeze development Sunday afternoon. Storm coverage will be a more “typical” scattered nature along the sea breeze just after lunchtime and into the mid-afternoon. Highs will hit the low-mid 90s.
