Another round of showers and storms is ahead Tuesday before a noticeable weather shift Wednesday brings drier air, stronger winds, and rougher surf.

Deep moisture remains in place today, with the best storm chances, around 50% to 60%, developing inland and west of I-95 after noon as the sea breeze pushes west.

Highs will reach the upper 80s and low 90s, with heat index values between 100 and 107 degrees.

Wednesday & Thursday

A drier air mass moves into Central Florida Wednesday.

That will mean lower rain chances across much of Central Florida, although a few coastal showers could still push inland.

Thursday could look similar, with drier air potentially lingering longer across the north.

Temperatures will stay near normal, with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

Coastal Hazards

At the same time, winds will pick up.

East-northeast winds will increase to 15 to 20 mph or higher Wednesday, with gusts of 25 to 30 mph possible.

That will lead to rough surf, hazardous boating conditions and a high risk of rip currents. The high rip current risk is expected to continue Thursday.

Weekend

The unsettled pattern returns late week as moisture increases again, bringing higher rain chances area-wide (60-70%) Friday through Monday.

Temperatures will remain seasonally warm, with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.
