Disney Skyliner Refurbishment | Affected Resorts
The closure affects the full Disney Skyliner network. Bus transportation replaces gondola service at these resorts and stations:
- Disney Skyliner
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
Guests traveling to EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios from these resorts should plan for buses instead.
An Annual Pattern

The Disney Skyliner gondola system connects Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, stopping at a number of resorts along the way. It offers a scenic alternative to buses for guests staying at the connected properties.
The Disney Skyliner gondolas travel at a top speed of 12 miles per hour over the span of nearly 3 miles. The 5 guest-loading stations are connected by 50 towers. The Disney Skyliner has traveled well over 1,000,000 miles since it debuted in 2019. In total, there are more than 300 gondolas on the line, and more than 150 of the gondolas are themed to more than 20 beloved attractions and films.
This annual refurbishment is now a familiar rhythm. As we reported when Disney announced the 2027 refurbishment dates, the system has settled into a pattern of routine winter closures. Each one typically runs about a week to ten days. Disney has again given guests well over a year of advance notice.
