Disney World vacations are already expensive as it is, but some things are TOTALLY worth spending more on during my trip. Am I in my 20s and have $5 to my name? Yes. But I am splurging on these six things every time? Absolutely.
Some you can simply buy before your trip, while others you’ll have to pay for. Let’s go through the six things everyone should splurge on during their Disney World vacation.
A Good Pair Of Shoes Is A MUST!
After HOURS and MILES of testing, HOKAs have definitely come out as one of the strongest contenders, specifically the HOKA Women’s Clifton 10s! They’re comfortable, supportive, and durable, so they’re sure to last you a long time! The heel may look chunky, but don’t let that steer you away — they’re actually extremely lightweight, so much that you don’t even feel them on your feet! As someone with plantar fasciitis who has tested out several pairs of shoes, HOKAs are definitely taking that #1 spot!
Brooks Are Another Great Option!
The Brooks Ghost 17s have also held up during our long Disney days, and if you don’t find me in HOKAs, you’ll definitely find me in Brooks. This shoe features a blend of soft and dynamic cushioning that offers comfort with each step. There is also a comfy grip around the toe and front of the shoe that hugs your foot for stability, but doesn’t squeeze too tightly. Anyone looking for a well-fitting, comfortable shoe that supports long walks will love these!
Why Hire A Masseuse When You Can Get These?
We won’t lie to you when we say your legs will HURT after a full day of walking around Disney World. There are a few options to help you recover, like Epsom salt baths, icing, and foot masks, but maybe the most effective are Leg Compression and Heat Massagers. This four-zone leg massager uses sequential air compression rather than rollers and vibration to gently wrap and squeeze the feet, calves, and thighs in a smooth upward rhythm. Rather than focusing on one area at a time, the air chambers inflate and release section by section to create a more even, full-leg compression experience. This massager features six massage modes and nine intensity levels, so you can adjust it to your comfort level.
Lightning Lanes
Whether you’re purchasing Lightning Lane Single Pass, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, or Lightning Lane Premier Pass, these services will make your vacation much easier and more enjoyable! No need to worry about wait times — simply book a time slot and scan in when it’s your turn! Guests staying at a Disney World resort can begin booking seven days before the start of their vacation, while non-resort guests can begin booking three days before. When it comes to Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can hold up to three attractions at a time.
This is something I splurge on EVERY. SINGLE. VACATION.
Stay At A Resort With A Kitchen
You’ll most likely be eating A LOT of food during your Disney World vacation since there are so many amazing snacks to try! But where do you put your leftovers when you get back to your hotel? If you’re staying in a standard guest room, the answer to that question is the trash, since there are no refrigerators. Yes, there are beverage coolers, but those don’t stay cold enough to keep food fresh. That’s the plus of staying in a studio or a villa — those rooms include fridges!
Rooms with kitchens also make it easier on families with little kids, especially if your kiddos are picky with what they eat. Yes, you’ll be spending a bit more money on a studio or a villa, but bringing your own food can also save you a lot of money since Disney meals can get expensive!
“How does one get food to their resort?” you may ask. Well, there’s a little something called Amazon Fresh! Amazon Fresh offers groceries, perishable and non-perishable, straight to your resort! Simply order it for same-day delivery or up to three days in advance! They will drop them off to Bell Services at your resort, and you’ll pick them up from there! There is a $9.95 fee for orders under $50, a $6.95 on orders between $50 and $99, and FREE for orders over $100!
