Six children, ranging from 4-13 years old, are now safe, and an investigation is underway, after the Daytona Beach Police Department says the kids were believed to be missing Saturday.
Officers suspect the kids were traveling with Joia Jina Shepard and Pervis Deontia Sylvester after the courts had ordered the children to be taken from their custody, and they did not have legal custody at the time.
The children were believed to be endangered, but they have now been found.
The Daytona Beach Police Department calls the investigation “very active and ongoing” and say that they will provide more information when it becomes available.
